You walk down the forest path, passing by small forest clearings and thick forests. Suddenly, you bump into a tom. "Hello," You look at the cat, startled. He's about your size, but...there's something different. "I'm Rushstar, Leader of one of the two clans in the forest, Wildclan." the tom,Rushstar, meows, his whiskers twitching. "Braveclan might appeal to you, too." He added, sitting down and looking at you, his piercing gaze locked onto yours. "There's only one question I have for you to answer," Rushstar sat up straight, curling his tail around his paws. "Will you be a warrior of the wild?"

Kestrelheart slipped out of her nest, stretching and opening her jaws in a yawn. She padded out into the light, blinking to get used to the bright sun. She pricked her ears when she spotted Ferretfur, and padded over towards him. "Hi," She purred

"Hi!" Ferretfur called.

"So, Ferretfur, anything new?" She asked, sitting down and looking at him with bright eyes.

"Nope, but I heard Birchstar had an argument with Rushstar over the border," Ferretfur meowed.

Kestrelheart puffed out a sigh, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, that mouse-brain. He acts like an apprentice sometimes!"


Foxpaw groomed his chest, grunting. The border patrol's hadn't done well. Rushstar confronted Birchstar, leader of Braveclan. What a fox-brained idiot Birchstar was! It was obvious the squirrel he had caught was on Wildclan's territory!

Nightpaw: Black she-cat amber eyes. White chest and paws. Crush on Foxpaw. (Owlstar)


Ferretfur sighed. "Not in any disrespect for our clan, but that squirrel was over the border. Please don't tell anyone that! Birchstar will demote me!"

"I know, but Rushstar is such a..." She sighed, stretching. "I won't tell him, Ferretfur. You're my friend."

"Thanks," Ferretfur blushed.

"What wouldn't I do for a friend?" She puree, flicking Ferretfur's ear with her tail. "So, I'm guessing we're both on the Border patrol, since we're two of the few warriors we have." She meowed, her whiskers twitching.

"Yep," He said.

"Well, are you up for the morning patrol then?"

"More then you!" Ferretfur said jokingly, and pounced playfully on her.

"Hey!" She cried, laughing as she wrestled him. She finally managed to pin him down, with difficulty.

Ferretfur squirmed out of her grasp.

She jumped back, crouching playfully. "We're acting like kits," She mused, whiskers twitching.

"I hope the others didn't see us."

"Probably not," She meowed, whisker twitching.

Ferretfur went to the entrance.

She followed him, flicking her tail.

Birchstar was waiting for them, too.
